What is EGM : Extraordinary General Meeting ?

Any meetings of the shareholders and the board of directors other than regular and statutory Annaul General Meeting are called Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM).

When the company to take a major decision immediately instead of waiting for next AGM then The Board of Directors of the company organize an Extraordinary General Meeting by a short notice.

For Example: Recently MICEMENT called an EGM for making a decision of buying a Major Manufacturing "Machine".
